It’s all about the Johnny cakes. And the plantain chips, with that tasty dip. And all the curries (some veggie options that rock), and the cocktails. Pretty family friendly too! Lots of great spicy options.

My vegan girlfriend and I were really happy to find a Reef location in Mt Pleasant on Main Street. We were used to the location on the Drive which seems to have been turned into an Indian restaurant.
If you're vegan and trying out this restaurant, I recommend the jerk tofu dish with cabbage salad and streamed veggies. Delicious Caribbean good.

Amazing, authentic Caribean food in Vancouver. One of the best Curry Goat I've ever had. Great atmosphere, friendly service and rum selection! Delicious food, highly recommended!

My first time visiting The Reef and we had the most amazing experience! The food was great, the ambiance was inviting and the service (Particularly Keisha) was so warm and friendly. We felt at home! Keisha even brought some water out to the patio for my puppy and gifted us with some of the Reef's famous hot sauce - it's SO delish! Thank you so much for such a wonderful afternoon. It's rare to come across this type of service in Vancouver and this place is a true gem. We will definitely be back!

A real gem! Good service and the meal seemed authentic and tasted excellent. The oxtail stew needed some size to the “tail”, but flavour of everything was good. I’d drop in again, but most likely stick to the quality and value in the average dishes rather than head out to break the bank...it’s not necessary here.
