We've been here 6 or 7 times and the service is always fantastic. Yes it's loud, but it's a fun casual place in Yaletown. I guess I'm just bored of their menu. We got some items off of their happy hour and regular menu. The mayo shrimp is delicious! It never disappoints. The beef carpacio is meh. There were a couple slices still frozen and it was just bland overall. The two sushi rolls from the happy hour menu were average. Nothing to write home about or go back for. The raw oysters were delicious though. We also had the pork belly lettuce wrap which was also delicious. Overall 3/5. I just wish they change their menu a little. It's the same happy hour/ reg menu.

Hot stone bowls are fantastic here.
Shame that some other locations have closed down. Have had the best service at the coal harbour one.

Great service. Food was excellent, fresh and tasty. The music was a bit loud and the prices are a bit much but you get what you pay for. I enjoyed the experience and hope to come back sometime soon.

I don’t know why some of the reviews are less than complimentary. This was a terrific experience. The food was excellent and the service was stellar. Highly recommend this restaurant and having booked a month ahead really glad we experienced this restaurant. Happy visitors from Alberta.

We had heard wonderful things about this restaurant, so I was excited when my husband surprised me with a dinner booking for my recent birthday dinner. We arrived and were placed at a tiny table jammed up against the bar. We could not talk to each other as it was impossible to hear over the live DJ playing hip hop or whatever it was. The waitress was so nice though and made great suggestions on the drinks menu and talked through dish selections with us. I ordered a cocktail and it tasted like mint and ice water..so decided to stick to wine for next drink. We ordered a few different dishes and to be honest, I could not really say anything was tasty..apart from the desert. We ordered some Sake, as we saw it being served in a neat looking bamboo jug and little bamboo cups. The staff must of been very flat out as t was forgotten. Our waitress apologized and we canceled the sake as we were ready to settle the bill at this stage. I would give one star if I was just rating the food but i will rate an extra star as the staff were wonderful, most of the service was prompt, and the manager gave us a round of drinks off the bill for the disappointment we had in our dishes. They did not have to at all ..but noticed we didn’t hardly eat anything (apart from the delicious desert). I usually really enjoy Japanese styled food.
