I finally made it to Mamie Taylor's last week. Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I had the burger. My server was really attentive and pleasant even though the place was packed. Will definitely be going back!

Mamie's is great. Just go. You won't be disappointed. Have a cocktail. Have a bourbon or an American whisky. Go for happy hour, it's a ridiculously good deal. They also have a good day beer selection. Owned by one of the most knowledgeable people in Vancouver when it comes to American whisky.

Great spot with cozy nooks, attention to detail from plating to lighting. Fantastic spirit, vino and beer selection. Utilize space well on busy nights. 👍

Unaccommodating waitstaff and warm beer.
We went for a friend's birthday and even though we had booked adequate tables in advance, they still didn't have tables ready for us. We uncomfortably squished too many people at a table and asked for the big table (could seat 6-8 people) next to us when it freed up, but the waitstaff said no and seated a group of 3 there. This was simply illogical as there were smaller tables available for that group of 3 and our party was still growing to the 20 people we made the reservation for. Since the waitstaff would not accommodate us, we explained the situation to the group of 3 and they did not mind moving to another table. Thank you, sympathetic patrons!
While all of this was happening, it took 30 minutes for a server to take our drink orders and another 30-45 minutes for us to get our drinks. Sadly, my boyfriend's beer was warm and flat.
Needless to say, we won't be returning to Mamie Taylor's! There are much better places for food and drink in Vancouver.

Their cocktails are pretty good. Do try the signature one. Food is a just about okay. Good ambience and friendly servers. Can get pretty crowded on weekends hence make sure to reserve ahead of time.
Lastly do try their desserts before you leave :)
