The only reason why this review is two instead of one is because the food was legitimately good. The service, however, is absolutely dismal. We were seated and waited at least 20 minutes for service; we were about to walk out. We ended up being able to flag down someone from front desk to take our order. We had the phyllo shrimp, prime rib steak, beef wellington, the and the London fog cake. Food was great. Shrimp was delicious...steak was cooked perfectly and the beef wellington was exactly a medium rare when you cut into it; the root vegetables paired very well. Dessert was mediocre. But once again, it took yet another 20 minutes just for us to find the server the grab our bill. The table beside us were served the wrong appetizer and we had a conversation about how the service does not match the quality and price of the food. Based on the service that seems to be continuously lacking, we will not be returning; there are other places that ensure their servers are as good as the serve.

I’ve been here for happy hour a number of times and have always been very happy with the cocktails and food. Came in tonight for drinks and appies, Jessie the manager(?) took care of us and I wish I could give an extra star for how amazing the service was, she truly made the experience something to write home about, not to mention the delicious food and drinks. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area looking for an expertly prepared cocktail as well as some tasty snacks!

It has a great atmosphere. We're sat in an amazing roof top bar. Service was also very good. Steak was just ok- not great but everything else was super.

We were there for a business function for 24. The setting was great, easy to carry on a conversation. The decor was amazing. The service was top notch, very attentive. The food was good. The main course was particularly memorable, a beef wellington done just right with a nice rich gravy and seasonally roasted vegetables. All in all a fun night and I wouldn't hesitate to go back and try one of the booths for a romantic dinner out.

I wrote this email in March. Since no one got back to me, and yes I’m still bothered.
To whom this may concern/global group,
I dined tonight at your restaurant Black and Blue, and was appalled by the level of service I received. I understand going there,
late (we got there at 12am), sometimes staff is short. However you guys do close at 2am on Friday’s, there was a little crowd, and we are paying/tipping customers.
We went for drinks and dessert.
First of, we were acknowledge by the busser instead of the server.
Our server was quite rude towards us. She was a bit of dismissive and didn’t let us finish our sentences before making her comments. At the end of the night she gave us the bill (around 12:45) without us asking for it and we were not even done our wine! We only said we were good for now after our dessert.
To top it off, there was a mouse that ran under our table, and no one acknowledge us when we said there was a mouse.
I hope you guys are a) able to rectify the customer service issue as this is not the first time I had a unpleasant experience at the Black and Blue establishment and b) look into your rodent problem.
