Designed by Vancouverite Shiloh Sukkau, the restored heritage building was inspired by the surf culture of Tofino, Baja and SoCal, with graphic tile work and beachy accents alongside heritage brick. In addition to classics such as the al pastor taco, the Gastown location is serving up quirky combinations such as a lamb birria taco with arbol chili and pickled nopals, and a spicy kabocha squash and pickled cauliflower tostada that packs a punch.
I have seen their food trucks and decided to try this physical location. They had two sections, the one by the entrance was only for pickups and the dining area was inside. We all accidentally ordered front and couldn't go inside to eat. They had a small bar tables beside the entrance though.
Their taco was around $7 for one piece. It was about 1.5 times bigger than the typical taco from bars that you normally get 3 as a set. I ordered fish burrito. After tax and tip, it was $16. Although it was full of good toppings in them, $16 for a burrito for a quick lunch sounded bit too much.
Other than the price, the place had a cool vibe and it looked nice inside.

Wow, one of the best taco places I've been to!!! The food was quick, our server was great, and everything tasted amazing! We got the nachos and wings to start, both great and lot of food, you could almost just get those and be full! We then got the Al Pastor, Chicken, and Fish tacos and again, so much flavour and so yummy! The drink menu was also memorable, I should have gotten more than two! You will not be disappointed if you come here, great atmosphere in historic Gastown!

I meant to write this review when I visited the restaurant a couple months ago. However, google reviews was not working on my phone. I would not suggest eating here at all. I ordered a taco and after I had eaten most of it I noticed an extremely large clump of black hair in the Taco. It was not just a strand. I showed this to the waitress and manager and they were very apologetic, said of course I would not be charged and even offered a free desert. I was very satisfied with this response and wouldn't mentioned this, except for I the shock I received when they brought me a bill. They comped 1 out of 5 tacos for a total savings of $6. I really was shocked based on the disgusting dish they served me. Anyways, I paid and politely left. I would, however, never go back and really hope this review makes people question patronizing this establishment.

Great food, but mostly impressed with the service. I ordered 11 burritos for a lunch meeting, but one of the burritos didn't make it in the bag. When I called back and asked if they could get the burrito to me, Megan walked all the way to the convention center to hand-deliver the missing burrito!! Old-world service, new-world taste. Thank you Megan!!
