Location is kinda nice because it's by water, (a river... But still nice)
Food was decent.. although I only had chicken tenders and it's hard to mess that up. Food price is also decent. The drinks are a complete rip off. $3.50 for a pop thats mostly ice and .75 cent refills. $10 for a peach slushy (Bellini) that had ZERO alcohol in it. Was really busy on a Saturday afternoon, with an older crowd. Waitress was a little on the rude side... She was rushing us and wasn't in the mood for a smile I guess... don't waste your time here, especially if your looking for something good to drink...

So first of all, it's a really neat looking place on the outside. You aren't exactly sure what to expect but you know it's gonna have a very river docks kinda feel on the inside. Which it does! Let's get down to the brass tacks of it all though!
Food: Very good! I mean that truly! Everything was incredibly tasty from their Irish coffee to their Sea Burger. I left feeling full and satisfied by the meal, which is always a bonus and a plus. ALSO! They bread their own wings, so you can ask for wings WITH NO BREADING! For someone like me, that's HUGE. I mean huge! So already they're earning three stars from that ALONE.
Atmosphere: Very nice feeling atmosphere, very relaxed, friendly place with friendly locals. Open environment that doesn't give you the squished feeling, with a great serving staff that is polite and cheerful. More stars from all of that! The theme is not cluttering or overpowering, you can sit inside or outside in their covered patio place and just watch the boats go by and enjoy the sunset.
All in all, I recommend it highly! I'm gonna be going back there when I can for definite!

Went there for lunch. Wonderful view and lovely patio. Our server was pleasant. Food was REALLY gross. I had the Mussels and fries. That Thai curry sauce was an interesting flavour and texture. It seemed like curry paste mixed with Campbells Tomato soup with some corn starch in there. The mussels themselves had a bit of a sandy texture and were slightly fishy. I get it, PEI mussels aren't going to be fresh, and I really enjoy making the frozen ones from the Safeway at home (MUCH BETTER). The fries were ok, the garlic mayo was great. Though, I think I got the bottom of the old fry bin. They didn't taste the freshest. I would only go back for the atmosphere, never again on the food.

Close to my work, so I love coming here, great pub food, but the best thing is the Thursday Wing Night. Grab a couple buddies, get a few beers, and order all the wings your little heart desires. Paid about 100 bucks for a couple beers, and 150 wings for 4 people here, which is a price you cant really beat anywhere else. The wings are good quality too, and their other food is worth coming here. I would say you cant go wrong at Gilnetter's.

Came here for lunch. Perfect lunch it was. We had the chowder which was nice and rice and full of flavour and enriched with seafood. We also had cod fish and chips and it was fried perfectly and the chips were nice and fresh and delicious. Prices was reasonable and to top up with the view of the river and Mount Baker was the the icing on the cake. Service was great and very polite. Highly recommend especially on a nice clear and sunny day.
