Worth trying out to experience something different but... The quality just isn't there. The small menu showcases a variety of unique fare that at first glance sounds quite interesting. The food was also supposed to be locally sourced. However the lingcod still had the frozen ice flavour you get when seafood flesh has been refrozen. While being poached should have retained its water content, we all agreed that only captured the more fishy smell of the taste and lacked the ability to enhance the spices and flavor from the other ingredients. I would've use a different method of preparing the fish if you did not want to even flavor the fish, let alone add salt to it ..The Hanger steak meal was definitely "delicate" (according to the waiter that meant smaller serving), and the fettuccine was a tad bit too heavy on the pumpkin squash sauce. The Rose did keep its bitter, distinct and crunchy flavor but did nothing to draw out the tastes in the other dishes, should have chosen a different option.
Given 3 stars for its unique atmosphere, the service (which was quiet so we expected slightly more service but was still adequate), and the presentation. A shame the flavors did not keep up with the rest of the experience.

The food was delicious!! AMAZING customer service, my friend and I finished our water very often and they refilled it immediately ;P multiple times we were asked if everything was okay. A very pleasant location with a lot of other interesting places to visit. Parking available and not as expensive as downtown.

Great meal at Nomad. The food is "quirky", unusual variations on some old standards. This doesn't always work but at Nomad, they seem to get it right pretty much every time. Reasonable mark up on the interesting selection of wines. Very good service with helpful explanations of the dishes.

Decent food. It got quite busy so getting service was a bit tricky. Food took a while to get to the table.
The Elk was cook beautifully. The pork belly noodles was a bit too fatty, it was like 80 percent fat and 20 percent meat; a little rich for my liking. Sunchoke wings were a let down, there was nothing that resembled a chicken wing.

The atmosphere here is awesome. My friend and I had a lot to talk about just looking around at the decor and layout. The waitress was great as well, I enjoy how they take the time to thoroughly explain each dish. It feels personal that way. I hated olives before this but they convinced me otherwise with those Italian ovals. The hen was really delicious. Usually if I eat a lot, I’d feel really bloated and tired but no coma from this one even though we couldn’t finish everything. Testament to the freshness and way they prepare and cook each dish.
Must come back, there are a lot of things I’d like to try :)))
