I was incredibly disappointed with this experience. We arrived at 5:00 pm and asked to have a table for 4 people. We were told that they were at capacity and that we were not only not able to get a table for 2 hours, but that we would not be able to stand at the bar. Even though the two people ahead of us were allowed in without a reservation and the bar area was not full. We were told to come back around 8:00 pm. We did. We went for drinks at Parlour (which was lovely - we received excellent customer service), then went back to Banter Room, only to be told that they did not have space for us and that we should wait in the cold for 30 minutes. We did. Then after 30 minutes, we asked the same hostess if we would be getting in anytime soon. She said that she had no recollection of telling us that it would be 30 minutes, and we were looking at another half hour at least, if we were able to get in at all. Meanwhile, groups of younger girls were let in ahead of us and they did not have reservations either. It was incredibly unprofessional. We finally asked if we would be let in that evening, and we were told that they could not guarantee anything. So we left. So disappointed. It is not Vancouver culture to treat locals as unworthy patrons.

Went for the happy hour. Not very much selection of drinks or food and the portions are small so it’s not somewhere I would suggest if comparing to other places with happy hours. I really like their heated patio and the chairs are notably comfy.

Casually looking for a brunch spot and found this gem. Started with a hella friendly hostess at the front saying we wouldn't regret it. The patio caught my eye even though it was +3. Heated and enclosed, however you could still see out to the street. Server was naturally friendly and personable. Made suggestions, drinks came fast. As did the food. Really tasty not huge portions but walked away satisfied. Prices reasonable as most brunches are $20+ for a dish. This place is pretty much under $15 for everything brunch. Quality food, view and service. Will go back and tell friends. You should too !

The service was great and they have gluten free tacos. The ambience was also great. We were here for happy hour and a lot of the cocktails they had were from cans which was very strange to me. There are so many great restaurants on this street that honestly I would venture elsewhere for cocktails. Otherwise it was decent.
