Awesome .. was recommended by a friend so we made the trek in from the valley , well worth it. I had the burger and oh wow could you taste the smoke. Wife had the pulled pork which she claimed was fantastic. We shared an order of the fries which had just the right amounts of spices. Washed down with a glass of Coal Harbour beer. We will be back.

Excellent service and food. The meat was cooked perfectly, good flavor and very tender. The sides were awesome as they kept them tasty and traditional by not making them spicey or adding weird ingredients to them. We have had this type of food at several different places in Western Canada and sometimes they change up the sides with spice or a weird ingredients that just ruin it. Thank you for not doing that! We had the pulled pork and the beef brisket. The portion sizes were more than we could eat so excellent value with pricing. We love that they source local ingredients. The only thing that would have made our experience a 6 out of 5 would have been a selection of BBQ sauces for the meat.

I was looking forward to trying this one as I drive past it nearly every day. The beer menu and service don't disappoint, however the food isn't quite there yet. My friends had burgers they said were bland and hockey puck dry. I had a brisket platter. I understand the brisket was dry rub style, but could have used some finishing sauce. Considering you get a piece of bread with the meal and no butter, you'd expect to use it to sop up something. The carrots were good, cuts very rustic. Coleslaw nothing special. The horseradish mustard was not tasty. They would be better off putting their pepper sauce on the side (which wasn't spicy so would suit most palates, but was one of the more flavourful elements on the plate). The chicken wings didn't appear to have been smoked or bbqed- more like baked. They were pretty dry and needed salt. Sauce on the side would be good too. It's still early days, so perhaps given time the business will grow and learn. I do hope they succeed.
The one other thing that was weird was the metal tray for serving and washcloths as napkins. To me this screamed "industry newbie" rather than quaint or eclectic.

Our daughter and her now husband used Whiskey Six BBQ to cater their wedding. We have never had such a wonderful, fresh meal at a wedding that I can remember and that includes our own over 40 years ago. The salads were so very fresh, homemade dressing on the side, potato salad with a hint of dill, absolutely delicious, the biscuits? unbelievable. We also had fried chicken without a trace of grease and so crisp and piece de resistance? The brisket! tender, juicy, flavorful and hot!!! Fresh fruit platter hit the spot very nicely. The staff were very good....polite, helpful and so friendly. The part that we thought was most impressive is the fact that the venue was in Port Moody and they came from Vancouver! Thank you for making this special day even better!
